Fall 2011 Trends: Black and Gold Handbags

I am in the market for a nice, black leather crossbody bag with gold accents.  I think the color combo just looks so luxe and classy.  While I may not actually pay this amount for any of these bags (I found a great one on zappos.com for only $34.99!) I think these are some great examples of what I'm looking for.  My fave is the Marc Jacobs "Percy" bag and the Rebecca Minkoff styles!

Comfort Food

Typically when the temperatures begin to drop, I get in the mood to cook warm comfort food and watch Lifetime movies and curl up in my sweats.  I've been craving some pumpkin bread since the beginning of this month and I finally made it.  SO delish!

Interior Glam: Bathroom + Dining

 As you know, I've been working on redecorating my apartment for the last month and a half...I'm almost DONE!  Cleaning/organizing wise it's all completed.  I can find all of my stuff easily and it's amazingly clean in here.  It makes me so happy (it's the little things in life, haha)! Lastly, I need to order my sofa and curtains for the living room and I'm done.

Working in the banking industry does have it's perks sometimes (i.e., having today off for Columbus Day).  I'm spending today relaxing, catching up on my DVR, cleaning and getting a good workout in, oh yes, and relaxing!  Have a good week everyone!

IPhone 4s Frenzy!

I've been a loyal Blackberry holder for the last 4 years, but lately I've been thinking about making the switch to the IPhone 4.  While I LOVE BBM and the ease of having a keyboard to type on, IPhone just has so many more app choices and features.  With Apple's announcement that they will be releasing the IPhone 4 S next week (pre-order 10/7 and available on 10/14), I'm thinking this will be my birthday present to myself come December.  I found these cute IPhone 4 covers (a girl HAS to accessorize right?) on Polyvore.  Fortunately I'm eligible for an early upgrade!

Interior Glam: Pumpkin Patch

Since it's now October, there's a crisp breeze of the changing season, sweaters, wool-blend skirts and pants, and cardigans have begun to fill the stores, and pumpkins popping up everywhere. Fall is my favorite season, and I love doing some seasonal decorating. I went over to Pinterest to search some images to get inspiration for interesting glamorous ways to decorate for the season. Mmm...now I'd love to have a slice of pumpkin spice bread. Maybe I'll find a good recipe?

Child at Heart: The Muppets in theaters!

So last night I FINALLY was able to go see The Lion King in 3D.  This was my first time to see a movie in 3D and let me just say, it's awesome!!  Now back to the movie...I am not ashamed to say that I sang along to every song, and even cried a little bit.  Definitely one of my favorite Disney movies.  On the way out I spotted the poster for the new Muppets movie that is coming out in November.  I am WAY excited about this!  Who doesn't love Kermit and Miss Piggy??  So yes, I will be first in line on November 23 with popcorn and slushie in hand to see this movie.  No matter how old you get, the kid in us still lives!
