Ooo La La...Red!

Ooo La La...Red!

Ooo La La...Red! by asliceofglam on polyvore.com

I love a red lip!  A few swipes of a good red lipstick can add instant glam to your look even on an otherwise blah day.  Red lips with orange undertones is going to be a big beauty trend for Spring 2012.  Above are five of my fave brands for lip color.

Healthy Break-FAST!

Diet, schmiet.  Eating healthy and feeling GOOD about yourself is much easier and tastier.  Starving yourself to fit into a bikini by Spring break?  Eh, no thanks, I like food.  So on days off like today, I like to take a little time and fix a good breakfast.  Today I had egg whites with veggies, turkey sausage and oatmeal.  Healthy and filling so I won't be starving by lunch!  Take a looksie at the pics below!
Red, orange and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, spinach and onion.
Spray your skillet with non fat cooking spray and heat your veggies for a few minutes and season with salt and pepper.  Then place them in a bowl.  I used Egg Beaters All Natural Egg Whites and scrambled them to my liking, then added the veggies.  Banquet's Turkey Sausage is low fat and yummy (I'm not a fan of pork).  And Active Lifestyle's Instant Oatmeal in Maple Brown Sugar & Pecan is high in fiber, quick to fix and delicious!

Tada!!

Eat good, feel good!  AND fit into your new Spring wardrobe!

JOHN VARVATOS FALL 2012

John Varvatos is one of my favorite mens designers.  Classic with a trendy twist.  These were some of my favorite looks from this coming Fall's collection.  Yes, Fall.  And with that said, New York Fashion Week for the Fall 2012 collections is coming up in less than a few weeks. Can't wait!

Stripes, Polka Dots and Pop of .... yup, COLOR!

Banana Republic tee, belt and skirt; Maybelline lipstick in "Red Revival"; Nutra Nail Gel Perfect polish in "Passion"; Armani Exchange glasses

You guessed it people, my mind has officially switched over to Spring!  If you can't already tell from the last few posts, I've already started my Spring shopping and am just too, too excited about the colors and trends for the season!  I took advantage of today's fair temps (60 degrees) and mixed patterns for the first time and wore a skirt.  I loved how it was styled together at Banana Republic, and wanted to try it myself.  The stripe top is so comfy, and has a nice little exposed gold zip that gives that signature luxe look that Banana Republic is known for.  I can't wait to mix some more patterns this season!  You know, flowers and stripes and the likes.  And a bright red lip to top it off.  Perfect!

Spring 2012 Trends: Color Blocking and Popping

Outfit I wore Saturday night to a Fashion Week Dallas event this weekend.

I can't help myself, but I am REA-DY for Spring colors!  Apparently Texas weather is too since it's 70 degrees in January...but that's another story...I'm not normally a "blue" girl, but I figured this blazer would pair well with my pops of Tangerine Tango!  And well if you don't already know, Tangerine Tango my friends is 2012's Color of the Year according to the folks over at Pantone.  I think the color looks great on everyone!  Hmm, well guess it's time to start working on my Spring trend boards!

Red Carpet Glam: 2012 Golden Globes

Sunday's Golden Globes officially kicked off the first of the season's red carpet showdown.  Lots of little peaks of what's to come for Spring showed up.  Such as blush tones, bright colors (bold blue, spicy red and bright yellow) were major.  Tulle, fishtail hemlines and ruffled skirts on some gowns added a soft, feminine touch.  While there weren't many "OH-NO-SHE-DIDN'T" moments on the red carpet, there were some "WOW-ZAs" and "OMG that's gorgeous" moments for me.  I'll just highlight my faves from Sunday night's awards.

Charlize Theron in Dior Couture and Cartier jewelry

Jessica Alba in Gucci

Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen (ok, LOVE the sexy bed hair!)

Paula Patton in Monique Lhuillier

Mary J. Blige in Michael Kors

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang (SHE looked stunning!)

Lea Michele in Marchesa (reminded me of Halle Berry at the Oscar's a few years back, no?)
