Yellow Pants
Hey there! Figured I'd post a couple of pictures from my outfit a few days ago for those that don't follow me on Instagram. If you DO follow me, you know that I LOVE pop of color right now! It was a warm and sunny Saturday this past weekend, so it was the perfect opportunity to wear my new yellow pants.

Liya Kebede for SS'12 Bottega Veneta
All of the images from Bottega Veneta's Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign are breathtaking. They make one feel as if they're in the middle of a paradise of some sort. Sigh, how I'd love to transport myself to a place like this filled with lush greenery and tropical flowers. Anywho, back to the fashion at hand. Liya Kebede is one of my favorite models and she looks absolutely stunning here in these colorful prints and patterns. I definitely see myself in that flowy pink dress and leopard dress! You can see more of the the campaign if you click on the link for photo credits below.

March 2012 Front Page Glam: Kerry Washington
Front Page Glam will be a monthly feature on A Slice of
Glam. I’ll pick one person (celebrity,
stylist, model, etc.) who’s style I particularly love at the moment. I’ll choose a few pictures of that particular
person from the red carpet, a special event, and a casual look to get a
complete look at their overall style.
Then, I’ll also show you how to achieve their celebrity look at a you-and-me
price! So if you have any suggestions on
who you’d like to see on Front Page Glam, head on over to A Slice of Glam's Facebook page by clicking here, “like”
and let me know! Or if you follow
me on Twitter by clicking here, and I’d love to hear from you!

Spring Party Ideas
When I was in elementary school, each year my mother would always come up throw a "Spring Party" at my school. Oh ya know, banners, cupcakes, the whole works. Spring is one of my favorite seasons because the temps are nice, and the air is fresh, and my closet is so colorful! Naturally, I searched Pinterest to find some decorating ideas in case I decide to throw a little Spring soiree at my humble abode. Ha!

Glam Update: People StyleWatch Style Hunters
Thank goodness it's almost Friday, right? I'm ready for a vacation, as I have worked everyday for the past three weeks. Not complaining though, as I have a goal and a mission, and I like working! Seriously, who doesn't in these times? Let's just be real here. I received an e-mail today that was a nice little pick me up to the afternoon. A couple of weeks ago I filled out the application to be one of People StyleWatch magazine's Style Hunters. I'd almost forgotten I'd filled it out, because I didn't even think they'd pick me (I never win anything and I don't like getting my hopes up). I got the e-mail today that I was selected to be one! Yeah yeah great for her, but what's this mean to me you might ask? Well my glamorous friends, it means that I get to update you with exclusive fashion and beauty news, events and product samples! So head on over to my Facebook page HERE, and follow me on Twitter HERE so you don't miss a THING! Oh and the weekend is finally here, so let's pull out our shiniest jewels and highest heels (or flats in my case) and let loose! Whoo-hoo!

Glam Interiors: All White Living Room
The past few days I've been in a decorating mood. Maybe it's the changing weather, maybe I'm just bored. Hmmph, who knows. Whatever the case, I've been quite productive with making the finishing touches on my living room and updating for Spring. I've been so inspired by the decor of a lot of celeb homes that I've seen from reality shows (think Rachel Zoe, Kardashians) with their all white living and bedrooms. I just think it looks so peaceful, light, refreshing and clean (a lot of adjectives there, eh?). I ordered this coffee table a few weeks ago and was thinking of a way I could "glam" it up. I decided since it has a glass top, I could add sequins to it! Take a look at the pics, and follow me on Instagram to see all of my pics! Have a great week everyone!
Add the sequins to top of coffee table
Place the glass top over the sequins, and you're done!
I styled the table with some fresh flowers (I used green hydrangeas) and some fashion books
The trunk is my mom's from college, I think it adds a nice vintage and personal touch

Glam Hair: Relaxed to Natural...A Hair Journey
Relaxed to natural. So many African American women today are claiming that they are transitioning. More and more are learning that these relaxers, a.k.a. "creamy crack" that we've been putting on our hair for years is killing our poor little tresses. Hair grows faster and is healthier without that yucky chemical on it. Some do the big chop, others grow there's out under different styles like weaves, braids, etc. Well I decided to let my own hair breathe for a little bit, and I plan to get braids for the summer. Think Cynthia Bailey from Real Housewives of Atlanta during the South Africa trip. I decided to try Carol's Daughter products because I've heard such great things. Also, don't forget to Like on Facebook, Follow on Twitter and Instagram! See pictures below....

Carol's Daughter Tui Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner, Shea Moisture Elixir
Now let me just say that I was disappointed that the Carol's Daughter Olive Oil Infusion Kit didn't work on me, or at least not to the effect that the before and after picture showed on the box. Oh well, it's still a work in progress and it's a going to get a little time getting used to and I've received several compliments on it. I was also told that being natural is actually MORE expensive. It takes a lot of patience and care the products are more expensive. All in all, I will say that being natural beats those pesky relaxer burns!

Glam Interiors: My Apartment
Spring is here! Well it is in Dallas/Fort Worth! The last few days have been in the 70s or even 80s, and I'm just so ready to do my Spring shopping for clothes, sandals, and a accessories! I also enjoy redecorating my apartment by the seasons. My mother always did it (changed out floral arrangements, her comforter set, etc.) and so it's just natural to me. I was inspired by ZGallerie's spring trends with the gray, white and lemon I saw on their site. I also searched Pinterest, blogs, and other interior decorating sites for inspiration. Check out my pics below, and don't forget to Like on Facebook, and follow on Twitter!
