Oh Monday, we meet again!  Today was long, long, LONG...but hey, I was wearing some pop of color, so that always makes things better, right??  I'll keep it short and sweet today as I need to get myself to the gym (I must buy a new swimsuit this summer!).  As you know I'm into pattern mixing right now, and today I chose to keep the colors on top similar, and add a pop of color on the bottom.  Hope you all have a great week!

Friday's Fabulous Find: The Striped Dress

Every Friday I'll be featuring a post called "Friday's Fabulous Find".  It could be a beauty product, a fashion (sale, trend, or item I'm loving at the moment), or it could even be a delicious recipe!  Ya never know!  :)  This week I'm loving this striped dress from Banana Republic.  I actually have it in my closet and it's so comfy!  You can wear it on the weekends while shopping and running errands (with belt or fedora hat), or throw on a blazer and some ballet flats for work (given that you have a more business casual dress code).  Classic leather tote and sandals work for either option.  Happy Friday!

Fresh Mint

Ok so I wasn't even going to post today after my allergy breakdown that occured yesterday.  Seriously people, I thought the pollen sought me out specifically as their target and attacked me.  Oh the joys of Springtime in Texas!  Ha!  Thanks to some medicine and eyedrops I conquered and I woke up and put on some pop of color, and even survived the outdoors to take a few pics.

Floral Pants + Leopard Print

Let me just tell you it took me forever to find a pair of floral pants that suited my taste and style. I found these particular ones by chance when I was at Kohl's looking for new running shoes. Since this season it's cool to mix patterns and what not (and to me leopard print is a neutral anyway), I figured these shoes would pair nicely. What do you think? Are ya'll going to be bold with me and mix some patterns?

Citrus + Safari

As soon as a spotted this chartreuse color dress I fell in LOVE with it.  It's the perfect little sheath dress that can be worn all through the summer at work, a wedding, or to dinner.  It has a defined waist, lining and pockets!  I went for a more '50's-ish look today what with my lady-like bag and vintage pearls (again, my mom's) and all.  Told ya'll I was going to start wearing more dresses!Happy Monday!

Mondays are normally a drag, but this bright, fun dress definitely helped the day go by faster!

Craving Coral

This season is all about skirts and dresses, so I'm trying to incorporate more to my closet. Normally I'm in a blazer and pants and I'm trying to change it up a bit. Today I paired a pastel coral blouse and and a bright skirt for a pretty and feminine look that's a great look for work without being overly trendy. The lady like bag, also another trend this spring, is one of my mom's handbags from the 80s. Everything old is new again, right? April 2012 Front Page Glam: Jennifer Lawrence

If you haven't heard about Jennifer Lawrence by now, you clearly are living under a rock. Ha! Although the 21-year old actress has been on the scene a while, her most recent film The Hunger Games, has definitely catapulted her into major super stardom. Her off screen look is undoubtedly glam and is perfect for this month's "Front Page Glam" feature. Here are a few of my favorite looks from "Miss Everdeen" and how you can re-create her look for less!

Little Things That Make Me Happy

I thought a Friday was as good as any other day to post some things that make me happy! We'll disregard the fact that it's Friday the 13th and keep it movin' right along (I seriously get super paranoid on this day). Hilary Swank's Swank-y Home

As a lover of all things glam, I am always on the lookout for inspiration whether it's for my wardrobe or for my home.  I recently subscribed to Elle Decor magazine to keep me up to date on the interior decorating scene.  I am currently working on a project to decorate a co-worker's apartment.  I am so excited to be able to create for someone else, now that I'm finally done with my own living quarters.

Pastel Me Pretty

Normally, I'm a pop of color girl who prefers a bright yellow, green or pink.  Lately though, I've been into pastel colors.  Colors such as mint green, frosty pink and lavender.  Try adding a few pastel color fresh flowers or a throw blanket for your home.  For your wardrobe, some pastel colored heels, hand bag or accessories is just enough.  The head to toe look will have you mistaken for the Easter bunny.
