As I told you all before, I recently started reading "The Happiness Project". I try to read a little on my lunch break everyday, and make little notes on things that I want to apply in my own life. Maybe it's the book, maybe it's not, but I can say I've been way more productive than normal, especially on the weekends. Life is precious and short, and I want to feel happier overall. I'll try to update this series as I keep reading! Have you read this book? Anything on your list that you're working on?

I love this post - it is incredibly inspiring (I will definitely be picking up the Happiness Project also!) Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I hope you do get the book! :)
DeleteI Love this, I'm good at 1 and 2 but need to work on #3.

Hehehe, it's something I have to work at too! :)
DeleteWhat a lovely post - and a great idea for self development. You're absolutely right - the clean edited wardrobe, eating healthy, exercising, showing people how much we care for them and love them, it all contributes to our own happiness. I've also recently overhauled my way of thinking in terms of eating/exercising and I am SO much happier now that I've finally accepted some of the facts and changed my eating habits. Now that this part of my life is in control, I'm moving to de-cluttering my flat and my wardrobe especially!
ReplyDeleteGood luck you can do it!
DeleteGood for you! I am going to try and eat healthy for a while. I definitely indulge way too much and it's time that stopped! And I SO need to get in my closet and do some spring cleaning.

Amberly, this is such a great post! I've been hearing so much about this book! This is something that I think will help many, many people in today's world. With how tough things are in the world right now, this definitely hits close to home. Finding pleasure in the "little things" and realizing what truly matters and is important....It seems like such a simple concept, but sometimes it can be so hard.
ReplyDeleteI applaud you for taking this journey and going for what makes truly happy. You go girl! ;)

Amberly, this is such a great post. I've been hearing so much about this book lately! I believe this is something that will inspire and help many, many people; especially with how tough and things are in the world today. So often we look at "material things" and at everything everyone else has and not at what we do have in our lives that are blessings. This is something that hits quite close to home, but I'm so glad you wrote it.
ReplyDeleteIt sometimes is hard to take pleasure in "the little things" and find way to go find your "happy"...no matter how big or small. You go after it girl! You never know who you might inspire! ;)
